MADISON weights ALL divisions AGE DETERMINED AS OF 01/12/2025
NOVICE- wrestler has NOT wrestled prior to 9/1/2024 - PRACTICE, CLUB, OR MATCH
NO 9th GRADE WRESTLERS ALLOWED
At least two matches per Wrestler/Proof of Age Must be available upon request
FORMAT:
AM Session (9:00 AM start): 6U, 8U, Novice 8U, Novice 10U, Girls Divisions (5-7) and (8-10), 4-man brackets or Round Robin; Bantam division will be 8-man bracket if possible
PM Session (1:00 PM start): 10U, 12U, 14U, Girls Divisions (11-14), 8-man brackets, if possible, with wrestle backs
RULES: Headgear and wrestling shoes required. Shorts with a t-shirt acceptable in lieu of singlet.
PERIODS: 1 – 1 – 1 ALL divisions. Overtime periods: 1 – :30 ride out
AWARDS: Custom Medals for 1st-4th place ALL brackets / Wall Chart to Champions / Team Trophy to Championship Team
ADMISSION: $5.00 Adults; $2.00 Students; Free Admission to Coaches

COST OF REGISTRATION FOR TEAMS/INDIVIDUALS
We are offering discounts on teams who bring 15 or more wrestlers to $30.00 per wrestler. We are also offering discounts for teams that bring 30 or more wrestlers to $25.00 per wrestler. The cost for an individual wrestler to register is $35.00 per wrestler without being provided the team registration coupon. This system is best when teams direct wrestlers to the link to register on their own (The wrestler will need to create an account with www.wrestlingtournaments.com). When a coach anticipates bringing 15 or more wrestlers please contact Dave McClelland and he will provide a coupon code for all of your wrestlers to use while registering for the tournament.
AWARDS
We will be awarding custom heavy color coated medals which reflect the tournaments name and logo with a sublimated 1.5 inch ribbon indicating the tournament name and year to everyone who places 1st-4th. Tournament Champions will also receive a Large Wall Chart with their Tournament Bracket. We will have tremendous food and concessions options throughout the day due to our generous sponsors. The team that accumulates the most team points will be awarded a 4 column 27 inch tall Team Tournament Champions Trophy (Wall is not eligible to win the trophy).
FOUNDATION THE TOURNAMENT SUPPORTS
We are donating 50% of the proceeds from the tournament to “The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation” which is a foundation that assists New Jersey families who are facing pediatric cancer by providing in home professional counseling services, material assistance to families, and emergency financial aid. Additionally we will be making a smaller donation to the "Alayna Jayne Foundation" which is a foundation that assists adolescents and young adults that are faced with Chemotherapy treatments with providing them financial support if they wish to use The Cold Cap while undergoing treatment. Additionally the foundation brings awareness to the medical field and the general public about the needs and benefits of scalp cooling to reduce hair loss during chemo. 3 OPTIONS FOR TEAMS REGISTERING-Team Discounts are only possible through option 3 (Regardless of the option teams pick, please advise all of your wrestlers to sign up under the same team-name so that wrestlers will not be matched against wrestlers on their own team in the first round if it can be avoided)
Option 1-Have Wrestlers Sign up through the above link on their own and they can weigh in at Wall Township High School on Saturday January 11, 2025 between 11:00 am-1:00 pm (No administrative work for coaches)
Option 2-Have Wrestlers sign up on their own for the tournament but conduct a satellite weigh in (Coaches weigh in wrestlers and send a spread sheet to the following email: [email protected] with only their wrestlers names and weights) (Team Discount is not possible doing it this way)
Option 3-Coaches register teams and conduct satellite weigh ins (This option allows for the team discounts for wrestlers and the instructions are below
Coaches Registering Teams (Option 3)
1-Coaches must complete the attached spreadsheet if they wish to register as a team and conduct a satellite weigh-in, in order to complete the spreadsheet by filling in the wrestler’s weight.
2-Attached to this email is a waiver form. Please print out the waiver forms and collect them from parents when they pay for their wrestler to register. Provide Dave McClelland with the completed Waiver Forms on the day of the tournament.
3-After completing the spreadsheet and weigh in, email the spreadsheet to to me to the following email [email protected]
4-Provide a check from the Team or cash to Dave McClelland on the morning of the Tournament with the waiver forms collected.
